It's rare for news to be announced so cautiously: "New profile pics," reads Jamie Lawson's Facebook page, "wonder what that means." However, this misses the point of one fan's suggestion that he may have become a father. In fact, the man has new music and a tour to go with it on the way. What's always amazing, actually, is that Lawson is so reluctant to put himself in the spotlight, and
yet continues to impress with his strong presence every time he takes the stage. But the artist, who was the first to sign to Ed Sheeran's then-new label Gingerbread Man Records, also has years of experience with the situation. At just 17 years old, he grabbed his acoustic guitar and took his songs on tour around the UK and Ireland. In fact, he was so successful there that he now likes to be called Irish. But it wasn't until eleven years later, at the age of 28, that Lawson released his first record, and another seven years after that his second, entitled "The Pull Of The Moon". And then a gem that was released as a single and reached number three in the Irish charts. No, there was no sign yet that "Wasn't Expecting That" would become a multi-platinum global hit. That only came after he collaborated with his friend Sheeran, who persuaded him to re-release the track. The rest is history. Since then, Jamie Lawson has released two more great and soulful records - most recently the romantic "Happy Accidents" - and travels the world performing concerts.
This is when the Brit really blossoms and is in his element. His wonderfully deep lyrics and devoted delivery have made him well known and appreciated. That's where the long years on the road and in small pubs and clubs pay off. Lyrics source and more information about this event at: https://batschkapp.tickets.de/de/tour/1001008-jamie_lawson
