Jan Philipp Zymny (born 1993 in Wuppertal) is one of the most famous up-and-coming stars of the poetry slam scene. After he was first confronted with the topic of poetry slam on the Internet in 2010, Zymny simply puts himself on a slam stage without workshop, prior knowledge or warning and participated in the German-language championships in the same year due to the success. In November 2013, Jan Philipp Zymny was finally crowned German-language poetry slam champion by an audience of 1,300. His greatest success, however, is, by his own admission, to have turned down the invitation to the RTL Comedy Grand Prix. Few people know that he considers doors to be his oldest and worst enemies. Both things we're totally with him on.
In his solo program, Zymny not only combines the best poetry slam lyrics with excerpts from his two books ("Hin und zurück - nur Bergauf!" "Henry Frottey: His First Case: Part 2 - The End of the Trilogy") but also presents music, improvisation and live radio plays with his own surrealistic wit.
