Latin Jazz .Caribbean grooves, Latin joie de vivre, beautiful melodies and high-energy improvisations - the musicians of the JJJ-Trio fuse these ingredients into a varied and rousing program in which they bring Latin standards, Brazilian choros, modern jazz ballads, as well as some original compositions to the audience.
The trio around Brazilian saxophonist and flutist João Gomes came together as a permanent trio in 2016, after several different projects together. João Gomes came to Europe in the eighties after finishing his music studies in Rio de Janeiro, and has gained his reputation as an expert in various Brazilian formations, but also in playing with well-known local jazz musicians; Jasper Hanel was trained, among others, on.Among other things, he was trained in classical drumming at Dr. Hoch's Conservatory in Frankfurt, was a long-time member of the Hesse State Youth Jazz Orchestra and is also in great demand as a pop and rock drummer.
