In the third concert of the Jazz in der Milchsackfabrik series, the Peter Klohmann Quartet takes the stage. The tension between jazz concert and disco-dance-club with massive sound system is thematized: "From funky jazz to jazzy funk and back we will bring groovy jazz pieces with swing and boogaloo rhythms more into a more modern garb of a here and now through effects and transformation of the grooves. We will infuse original compositions and standards with house, minimal and techno beats more familiar to the club in a jazz setting and take a sound bath with the three movement BSE suite (I. Movement: The Mäh Mäh Madness Starts; II. Movement: Roastbeef Or Hash (Dilemma Pop); III. Movement: Mutilated Mutant Muzak), which was originally written for orchestra, this evening in an arrangement for jazz quartet plus EFX (effects).
