JETHRO TULL by Ian Anderson Multimedia "Best Of." show
Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson celebrates his then half-century of musical output in late 2017. The "Best Of." tour, entitled 'Jethro Tull by Ian Anderson', will take place in the autumn. Presented will be a coherent mix of classics, hits and some rarities. The program includes the titles "Aqualung", "Locomotive Breath", "My God" as well as "Songs from the Wood".
Live the whole thing will be prepared in multimedia form: Behind the group - which includes founder Ian Anderson (flute, guitar, vocals, mandolin), John O'Hara (keyboards, piano, accordion), David Goodier (bass), Scott Hammond (drums) and Rosenheim guitarist Florian Opahle - videos will be projected on a screen.
Their performances are divided into two 55-minute parts, with a quarter-hour intermission between each. Known for his quirky entertainer qualities, Ian Anderson and his four accompanists bring their varied, distinctive compositions to the stage live with their usual high level of virtuosity. The progressive rock of Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson interspersed with folk elements is unique, his group an institution in the music scene.
