Internationally acclaimed, multi-platinum, Oscar, Golden Globe and ten-time Grammy winner John Legend will come to Europe this fall. He will play his biggest tour to date on the continent in September and October. His "Darkness And Light" tour will include 24 shows. Between September 24 and October 9, John Legend will complete five concerts in Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Cologne and Frankfurt, with an additional concert in Zurich on October 10. Accompanying John Legend on his German concerts will be English singer/songwriter Jack Savoretti, whose Top 10 album "Written In Scars" earned him a sold-out tour in 2015. 2016 saw the release of his fifth studio album "Sleep No More", an even richer, more diverse and emotional work on which every song highlights his extraordinary voice. Jack describes the album as "a love letter to his wife." The tour announcement coincides with the announcement of "Surefire," the second single from his recent hit album "Darkness And Light," which was released in December 2016, accompanied by countless outstanding reviews. "Surefire" follows the first single "Love Me Now", a single that has been streamed 157 million times on Spotify. The official video for the single has been viewed more than 88 million times on YouTube. Since the release of "Darkness And Light," John Legend could be seen co-executive producing and starring in the smash hit film "La La Land," which recently won seven Golden Globes and six Oscars. He also contributed the theme song to the remake of "Beauty and the Beast" with Ariana Grande. Ohio native John Legend has won ten Grammy Awards, an Oscar, a Golden Globe Award, the BET Award for "Best New Artist" and many more awards to date. Legend studied English and African-American literature at the University of Pennsylvania and pursued numerous musical projects while still a student. One of these was an engagement as a pianist on the Lauryn Hill track "Everything Is Everything", shortly after which he began playing his own shows around Philadelphia. Following college, he was introduced to then up-and-coming hip-hop artist Kanye West, who signed Legend to his own label, GOOD Music, and used him as a vocalist on numerous of his own tracks. Through these and similar collaborations, recognition for the excellent singer multiplied, and he contributed to many hits by Kanye West, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. His debut album "Get Lifted" was released in 2004 and not only contained his first hit single "Ordinary People", but also won several Grammy Awards. The follow-up, "Once Again," released in 2006, became a multi-platinum seller and helped John Legend win another Grammy. 2008's third album "Evolver" followed, featuring the hit single "Green Light." His collaboration with hip-hop group The Roots on the album "Wake Up" won the Grammy for Best R'n'B Album in 2011. The 2013 album "Love In The Future" featured the single "All Of Me," to date the biggest hit for the multi-talented artist: the song reached #1 on the US Billboard charts. For "Glory", the title song of the movie "Selma", Legend won his first Oscar, a Golden Globe Award and another Grammy. Now, with his latest album "Darkness And Light", more successes are in store - the album placed high in the charts worldwide. In addition, as a partner in the film company Get Lifted Film Co. he is now a successful cinema and TV film producer and also appears again and again as an actor.
