Currently pop poet Julia Engelmann is on tour in Germany with her successful tour "One Day, Baby - Upgrade". Now the artist announced a brand new live program for fall 2017! On the tour "Jetzt, Baby - Poesie und Musik" fans can look forward to new lyrics and songs! Over 35 cities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are on the tour schedule.
The Bremen native celebrated her 25th birthday on 13 May 2017. So she knows what she's talking about when she dedicates her new program to the topic of "Quarter Life Crisis", among other things. The topic of "Mental Health" is close to the artist's heart, especially because young people in particular are increasingly suffering from depression. In her well-known humorous and optimistic way she also talks about the "Second-Hand-Life" of the generations Y and Z, lets you into the eternal depths of the social media world and explains what the "new minimalism" is all about. Julia's lyrics and songs are sometimes quiet and thoughtful, sometimes rousing and full of joie de vivre. With a lot of confetti in her luggage Julia declares us all to be "silent poets":
"Everybody carries poetry inside - it just sometimes gets lost in the stress of everyday life. It is the capturing of fleeting feelings and images, the sharing of our inner lives with others." Like no other, the full-time poet finds the right words for the attitude towards life of many.
In the future, Julia would like to dedicate herself even more to music. In autumn, she will therefore perform new, original songs in addition to fresh lyrical lyrics and evergreens. "Having a soundtrack for different moments makes my life beautiful. On top of that, I'm making music myself and now I'm doing it live on my tour."
As the voice of her generation, she has been thrilling an audience of millions since her performance at the Bielefeld Hörsaalslam and the video hit "One Day". In the meantime, the multi-talent is the most successful German poetry slammer. She has published three books, each of which was on the Spiegel bestseller list. The "baby" from "One Day, Baby" has become a signature. Her most recent song-poem "Grapefruit for Breakfast" achieved over 750,000 clicks online within a very short time. On her first live tour in 2015/2016, she wowed over 40,000 attendees at 60 shows.
In her acclaimed stage performances, she makes audiences laugh and moves them to tears at the same time. Her unwavering message: live your dreams! Now, baby!
