Young German Jazz is growing up. Julian and Roman Wasserfuhr stand for this par excellence, for whom "growing up in public" - a famous album title by Lou Reed - has become second nature. After their musical journey to Gothenburg in Sweden (2009) and the rousing New York session in urban Brooklyn (2017), the two brothers from the tranquil town of Hückeswagen near Cologne have now travelled to Ireland, to the coast of West Cork, to record their sixth ACT album together with cellist Jörg Brinkmann. "Relaxin' in Ireland" is the Wasserfuhrs' very personal view of the Emerald Isle in the Atlantic, translated into sheet music. But it is also an album that tells of what the West Cork environment did to the trio at the moment of musical creation.
