Kakkmaddafakka have undergone an evolution, their line-up has changed, new pianist Emin Kittelsen replaces previous keyboardist Jonas Nielsen, and the Kakkmaddachoir will be dispensed with in the future. The changes in the set-up have changed the focus of the show, but the Norwegians have longed for development and have no regrets. The new album "KMF" shows that these changes have done the band good. Kakkmaddafakka produced it themselves, the sound proves that everything they learned from their previous successful producer Erlend Øye, they are now able to implement just as successfully themselves. "KMF" convinces with a fresh sound, the record still sounds like an unstrained summer breeze that seductively brushes around the body. Axel Vindenes and his unmistakable voice set the impulses around the pearliest pop music imaginable. Together with his brother Pål he writes pieces that are already too perfect, whose mood is so clear and beautiful, whose sounds are so round that they always need an ironic refraction. This happens subliminally on record, more unequivocally on stage, because there the band transforms into an animal and dissects the songs into driving, danceable, wild tracks. And that's why it's still true: Kakkmaddafakka are a band for the stage. The spectacular shows of the friendly Scandinavians are what make the sextet. Only live everything makes sense, whether in small clubs or in front of 50,000 fans, at festivals or in the backyard. Three shows towards the end of September had been announced by Kakkmaddafakka for quite some time. Now they've confirmed that a new and extensive tour is finally coming up next February.
