On May 11th, the evening will start with a legend of Russian Rock 'n Roll, "Kalinov most". Formed in 1986, "Kalinov most" have now released 30 albums. At the rock festival in Podolsk in 1987, which is regarded as the "Soviet Woodstock", the musicians first caused a stir among the audience with their songs. Ethnic elements, blues and hard rock - a mixture that makes the musical work of the group unique and distinctive.
In the track "folk rock", however, the musicians do not like to be forced. They see themselves more as a creative group that simply writes and sings "songs" and does not belong to any fixed genre. However, the band can certainly be described as mystical, just because of their name. In Russian folk tales, "Kalinov most" (glowing hot bridge) stood for a battlefield where a hero fights evil - a kind of symbol for the struggle between good and evil. What of the original definition went into the band's name remains to be seen. The band's frontman Dmitri Revjakin suggests "bridge from unbelief to God" as the definition of "Kalinov most". A definition that is reflected not least in the lyrics of the musicians.
