Well, the US-American band Karmic is already a regular guest at Hafen 2, and not by chance - their concerts are just too good: danceable pop that fits perfectly into the summer ambience. The history of Karmic goes back to the early 2000s. Bassist and multi-instrumentalist Peter Kastner moved from Austria to Los Angeles. He met Laura Baruch and together they founded Lucid Dream as a duo, exploring their idea of pop music. They experimented in different line-ups, continuously writing new songs. Both are at home in the most diverse musical styles, in pop, in soul, in jazz, in the experimental. When Kyle Katch from Los Angeles and Sam Murphy from Seattle join them, the line-up is finally complete - and a whole new dynamic emerges.
Samantha Pearl also comes from California and gained a considerable musical range and fan community on the Santa Monica promenade. She now tours worldwide, but always finds her way back to the streets and squares of Los Angeles - the intimate concerts in public spaces still hold a magic for her.
