KAZÉ Anime Nights: Tokyo Ghoul [S]

Following the successful virtual cinema event for Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System on 31. March, due to its unchanged location, the following KAZÉ-Anime Nights date will again be a virtual event at Anime on Demand will take place.

On April 28, Tokyo Ghoul [S], the second live-action adaptation of the cult manga Tokyo Ghoul, will be available to stream on Anime on Demand for 48 hours. The conditions remain identical to the last KAZÉ Anime Nights Virtual Event Ticket:

The stream must be started within 48 hours from 8pm on April 28.

A purchase license for the film on Anime on Demand will be unlocked on the home entertainment release date.

There is an additional 14 days of free access to the entire Anime on Demand catalog.

By the way, the AoD catalog also includes the first live-action Tokyo Ghoul movie as well as the complete anime adaptation, so there's nothing in the way of a Tokyo Ghoul double feature and a comparison to the anime version.

And that's what the movie is about:

In the middle of Japan's capital Tokyo they live: ghouls that feed on humans. Among them now is Ken Kaneki (Masataka Kubota), who has become a half-ghoul after surgery and can no longer tolerate normal food.

For some of his fellow ghouls, this mixture is apparently particularly appealing.Shu Tsukiyama aka "The Gourmet," one of the city's most dangerous ghouls, has already extended his gourmet feelers to Ken. When Shu invites him to a ghoul restaurant, Ken doesn't think much of it yet - until he suddenly finds himself standing in front of all those hungry masked men and realizes he's about to be auctioned off as a delicacy.

Will he be able to escape the Gourmet's greed?

The second live-action film based on the best-selling anime and manga of the same name was directed this time by commercial filmmakers Kazuhiko Hiramaki and Takuya Kawasaki, who gave the gory urban horror action a particularly stylish twist.

The KAZÉ Anime Nights Virtual Ticket for Tokyo Ghoul [S] includes:

- Tokyo Ghoul [S] starting Apr. 28. at 8pm for 48 hours on Anime on Demand, available in either the German dubbed version or the original Japanese version with German subtitles

- a purchase license for Tokyo Ghoul [S] on Anime on Demand, which will be automatically unlocked upon official release for home entertainment launch in 2. Half of 2020 will be automatically unlocked

- an additional 14 days of access to the entire Anime on Demand subscription program

The KAZÉ Anime Nights Virtual Ticket is not included in the regular subscription to Anime on Demand and must be purchased separately through a special site. Existing Anime on Demand subscribers will also receive an additional 14-day credit on their existing subscription to compensate.
