Aachen-born Khalid Bounouar, who comes from an Algerian-Moroccan artistic family, has been on stage all his life, in his younger years mainly in plays and as a dancer, and then after his A-levels as a singer and poet. In 2012 he appeared spontaneously for the first time at a RebellComedy show.
After he appeared a few times on stage as a newcomer at RebellComedy, there was no doubt for the founders Babak Ghassim and Ususmango to appoint the talented Aachener as the official comedian of RebellComedy. Various appearances at NightWash, Generation Gag, Quatsch Comedy Club and many more followed, up to his own RebellComedy show on the public TV stations.
Further on he took part in a variety of competitions where he won one award after the other. After 10 tours with RebellComedy by now, he has become one of the most famous German stand-up comedians thanks to his very own style.
He is incredibly quick-witted, switches gears quickly and is particularly close to his fans and viewers. He has a strong presence on social media in particular, which has also led to an ever-growing notoriety. Now the time has come, Khalid Bounouar, the elegant comedian whose trademark is the bow tie, is going on tour with his first solo. With stories from life, about his observations and himself, he lets the audience become part of his show and introduces them to his world. In these 120 minutes all his skills are combined: stand-up, crowd work, music, dance and poetry. The audience can expect a touch of Las Vegas, in this sense: It's showtime
