"Other poets drink too, but write poetry sober, vice versa I have it in custom, sober I am shy.<" Hermann Hesse
It's hard to believe: in a handful of poems, the introverted poet looked at himself and others from a satirical point of view.
Whoever expects an all-knowing Hesse this evening will be surprised: Cheeky and self-deprecating, the poet describes himself in various life situations and thus comes close to you as a human being.
Hesse as an imaginative lover, boisterous and fond of drinking. Klaus Brückner has been studying Hesse for a long time and has selected these special poems.
He will be accompanied by the Japanese guitarist and composer Sunyata Kobayashi, alias Mister Suny. A very personal, amusing evening in which you will rediscover Hesse the man.
