"Aquamarin" - this is the name of Klaus Hoffmann's new album (release in October 2018) and the subsequent tour. Thereby "Aquamarin" is the third part of a trilogy.
.After "Sehnsucht" and "Leisen Zeichen", as the last two albums were called, Klaus Hoffmann closes the circle between the beginnings, the time of departure and the journey to become a chansonier and entertainer. For the singer, "Aquamarin" is a special work, this conglomerate of yesterday and today. It's a great throwback reflecting the life of the actor and singer, and in "Aquamarin" it reaches a common climax.
Klaus Hoffmann's music has remained timeless even after four decades. The classical influences that made his music very unique early on in "Was fang ich an in dieser Stadt" combine here with elements of rock and blues to create a harmonious interplay.
With his accompanist Hawo Bleich on grand piano and keyboard, the evening is condensed into a light, yet deep interpretation from Hoffmann's songs."Klaus Hoffmann is one of the last romantics", a well-known photographer once said. In his songs he stands in the tradition of the great chansoniers like Brel and Aznavour. Romantic, yet blunt and clear are the stories and songs that bring a glow to the eyes of his audience in Hoffmann's program."Aquamarin" - the blue of the sky and the water, the blue of vastness, depth and infinity. A stone that holds all colors.
