The Berlin band Knorkator is a dazzling and extraordinary musical formation that manages to confidently and playfully combine aggressive hardcore metal with subtle and classical sound. The concerts are legendary, bizarre alternating baths of colourfully mixed styles, on the one hand a light-footed dance between rude swearing and tender poetry, pathetic megalomania and infantile nonsense on the other. Singer Stumpen is the personification of this diversity. As a large tattooed baldy, he loudly berates his audience, only to belt out arias in dizzying falsetto the next moment. Pianist Alf Ator, who is also responsible as composer and lyricist, likes to smash his instruments in time or throw foam rubber organs into the audience. Guitarist Buzz Dee drives the sound of the band with his character and his guitar sound self-determined and independent.
2016 will see the release of the 8th studio album "Ich bin der Boss". While the band has always addressed the big questions of humanity and life (albeit mostly in exaggerated and sarcastic form) can now be seen for the first time tendencies to reflect on current affairs. Among others, the popular actor and singer Axel Prahl makes a guest appearance. And with the song "Zähnebrutzzen, Pullern, ab in's Bett!" the average age of the fans can be drastically extended downwards. The tour for the album lasts deep into the next year, the audience numbers have increased again, cheerfully begins the songwriting for the next album.
