The castle festival is one of the biggest festivals in the region and takes place every year at the castle ruins in Königstein. At the heart of this unique festival are the large outdoor stage and a wide range of food and drink on offer from the festival landlord on the extensive festival meadow, as well as the cellars catered for by various actors. With the wide range of offers from the cellar landlords and the varied stage program on the festival meadow, there is something for every visitor, young and old. On Friday evening at 22:30, the festival opens with a large firework display. On Sunday, the Königstein Castle Festival is rounded off with a large parade through Königstein town center to the castle. A special program awaits the young visitors there, supported by many local associations, initiatives and cellar operators.
