Enjoyment connects - culinary encounters in Frankfurt The trade fair for enjoyment and style is back: gourmets and the curious can look forward to a high-quality range of delicacies and design on 29 and 30 October in Frankfurt's Bockenheimer Depot. Those who know kulinart know what to expect - always something new. The epicurean fair is known for its equally varied and multi-layered programme. What visitors and exhibitors alike appreciate about kulinart is the mutual encounter and the meaningful conversation. Organiser Conny Krenn knows why: "Producers, traders and visitors inspire each other in this exchange. The enjoyment connects. In the end, both have the good feeling of taking something valuable home with them." That this "valuable" can - but does not have to - come from the region is the program at kulinart. Among the 70 or so exhibitors at the fair are numerous specialities and discoveries from Hessen - from the original North Hessian "Ahle Wurscht" from Landfleischerei Opfer to the fine cheeses of the "Rheingau Affineur". In many cases, it is not only the products themselves that are exciting, but also their background stories. For example, the story of the graduate biologist, who has developed his hobby into a delicious sideline with his own apiary "Honigfreund". Or the story of Dr. Johanna Höhl-Seibel, who wanted to surprise her parents with an appropriate drink on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary. This is how the Cuvée "Pomp" was created from Rheingau Riesling sparkling wine and the noble apple Champagne Reinette. Fine regional wines will also be served by Beyer Sektkellerei and the "Meine Freiheit" winery - incidentally one of the few wineries with its own Spotify playlist. The region will also be in the spotlight at the live show on the Miele cooking stage. Here, Miele's culinary artists show what they can do - and are happy to bring selected exhibitors on stage with them. This year, for example, Marco Wanke from Landgasthof Grüner Baum and Peter Muschol, Michelin star winner and head chef at the new gastronomy start-up GOOSE in Villa Leonhardi Frankfurt. The stylish GOOSE food truck will spoil visitors with the finest gourmet waffles, among other things. Naturally, there are also many international food trends to discover. For example, the freeze-dried superfood smoothies "buah", the delicious nut puree from "Brandgut" and the return of sweet classics such as popcorn and fudge. Those who like to combine indulgence with a relaxing short holiday can look forward to the focal theme of "indulgence holidays": here, feel-good places such as "Das Schäfer" Wellnesshotel from Vorarlberg, the Ochsenschläger Landhaus-Apartments as well as the connoisseur hotel Theresa from the Zillertal will be presenting themselves. If you can't find what you're looking for with all these offers, then the small, fine travel agency "tourgourmet" will certainly be able to help with its gourmet tours. Whether regional or international specialities - at kulinart every visitor will find something to suit their particular taste. And they can find out directly from the traders or producers about the origin and fair production conditions of the goods. This concept has been extremely well received: Last year, more than 6,500 gourmets came to kulinart to "take something valuable home with them". As in many years, the fair is accompanied and supported by partners Miele and Meckatzer Löwenbräu. kulinart 2016 - Fair for Indulgence and Style 29 and 30 October 2016 Frankfurt at the Bockenheimer Depot Opening hours: Saturday 12pm-2pm and Sunday 10am-1pm Admission for visitors: 10,- €
