At the moment KVELERTAK are on the road at all the big festivals. For example, they put on quite a show in Roskilde last weekend and showed the metal fans in attendance just how high the level is in Norway when it comes to fast-hard-loud. On the side, KVELERTAK also play a few smaller club shows on their festival-free days. After all, the band wants nothing else than to be on stage. So you could also experience the songs of the new album "Nattesferd" recently at three small but very energetic shows in Germany. KVELERTAK is still a wild, chaotic and abundantly rough troupe on stage, however, they are more melodic on their now third studio record. The royal favourite band - Norwegian crown prince Haakon has been seen on concerts with his wife Mette-Marit quite often - still doesn't shift down a gear live and sticks to their full-throttle black-metal-meets-rock'n'roll punk rock, to expand the genre appropriately for once. And if there ever was such a thing as a common thread running through the Scandinavian mix-metallers' overall output so far, it's definitely the artistic unpredictability with which the stylistically experimental guys from Stavanger have uncompromisingly operated since their formation in 2007. With "Nattesferd", the sextet now releases a collection of the most explosive metal grenades to date in the finest, purest Norwegian. The title of the record - in German "nächtliche Reise" - sums up the songs well. The whole record is a kind of journey, marked by very dark lyrics. Everything meshes very well. It is a personal invitation to escape reality
