Wine festival in Langen means, on the second weekend in August, the square between the town hall, the district court and the tax office is all about the noble grape juice. In order to give the companies of Langen the opportunity to visit the wine festival with their customers on weekdays, it already starts on Thursday and keeps the mood of the wine lovers on course until Sunday evening. More than a dozen of vintners' cooperatives and wine trading companies are serving wines and exquisite vintners' sparkling wines, the growing areas are in Tauberfranken, the Palatinate, Rheinhessen, the Rheingau, the Moselle and the Bergstraße. Offers from Austria, France and Chile are also not uncommon.
Musically, the wine festival will again be accompanied by "DJ Neelix" alias Axel Schüller, discreetly and according to the wishes of the audience - culinary delicacies and the offers of the snack stands provide the appropriate basis for not letting the spirit of the juice take the reins. Relaxed chatting, meeting acquaintances and pampering friends, at the many provided seating areas, between the decorated wagons of the winegrowers and wine suppliers, makes the enjoyment of the wines especially much joy - and friends.
