Three old-68s reunite in today and reminisce about their crazy time in 1968:
With their singing skills, Eddy and Rollin fight for the favor of Susi, whose constant change of heart always brings a breath of fresh air to the old rehearsal cellar, while their overbearing mother, wielding a wooden spoon, urges them to study.
They meet again in 1981: Rollin has just returned from Ireland, Eddie is coming back from India, and Susi is working on a compost worm farm in her commune. Using mediation, spiritual music, and tarot, Eddie and Susi try to heal Rollin, who seems too "gross" for them.
At the end, the three meet again in the present.
"68er Spätlese" is a tribute to the wild times, filled to the brim with live-sung catchy tunes of freedom, justice and love.
