A cultural festival for the whole family.
Since the Latin American Weekend debuted in Frankfurt in 2017, the event quickly achieved cult status. Visitors from all over the RheinMain area have been attending the cultural festival ever since. In addition to culinary highlights with various food stalls from Latin America, talented art exhibitors offer their handmade works in wood, textiles and jewelry. Visitors are also presented with a diverse stage program featuring folklore performances, live music and dance performances. Due to Corona, the 2020 event could not be held as planned. This summer, the Bockenheimer Warte will be transformed into the capital of Latin America. The event is sponsored by the Neustart Kultur program of the Initiative Musik.
Bearer of the event is the O&M Event Gastro GmbH from Frankfurt, which holds the festival in 10 other German cities. With the meeting the Eventagentur strives the culture, catering trade and history of Latin America in Germany to make well-known. Under the slogan "experiencing connects" the getting to know other cultures is put into the foreground. "Through diverse encounters, traditional folklore performances, concert performances of nationally known artists, the dialogue between cultures is favored" so the managing directors Hernando Ospina & Daniele Marino.
