When Laura once again can't sleep and looks out the window, she sees a star fall onto the sidewalk right in front of the house. Laura takes the star back to her room. But the next morning the star is gone.
This is the beginning of the fascinating picture book story of "Laura's Star" - this is also the beginning of the musical and this is the beginning of a fantastic star journey:
Together with her friend Teddy, Laura experiences adventures in space. They fly through the sock galaxy, see the dog stars and get to know the constellation Rabbit - always looking for their star. At Mrs. Luna's they finally find it well protected.
But Laura realizes that she has to let go of her star in order to be able to keep it.
"Laura Stern" by Klaus Baumgart is a wonderfully poetic story with wonderful images not only for the eyes, as if made to be translated into the visual language of the stage.
Since Klaus Baumgart first published the picture book "Laura's Star" in October 1996, "Laura's Star" has been an absolute favourite with children. This is proven by several million books sold - and the publication in more than 30 countries. In 2004, the first cinema film was released, followed by two more due to its great success. The 52 episodes of the TV series are regularly repeated on ZDF or KIKA with great success. In addition, there are successful sound carriers and much more.
"Laura's Star - The Musical" was developed and produced by a strong team: The music is by Andy Muhlack, who alone at Cocomico and the Karma Limited Theater was responsible for such successful productions as "The Rainbow Fish", "SimsalaGrimm", "Felix", "Cinderella", "Little Chief Winnetou", "Conni" and many others, the libretto is by Karl-Heinz March, who was the author of most of the productions mentioned.
