Tonight you are graced by the band Liar Thief Bandit from Sweden.
With one foot they stand in 1970s rock music with the other deep in the punk/garage/hard rock revivial of the late 90s. Though their influence is a homage to the history of rock 'n' roll, they strive forward, enlightening those yet to be enlightened, inspiring those yet to be inspired. They aim to inspire and, above all, keep the music alive.
They're backed by a band that has rocked the basement more often than not: The Swipes.
The quartet from the greater Frankfurt area takes a wide arc from the 60s to the present, going at it with mighty pressure and drive. A wild, independent mix of styles with plenty of sixties beat, garage punk, drug-fuelled wah-wah guitars as well as surf and reggae influences. The Stooges and the Cramps meet the Hives and the Strokes in a newly renovated German garage.
