On stage, Limp Bizkit are still one of the big attractions in heavy rock and so the return of the nu metal pioneers around frontman Fred Durst is shaping up to be a sensational success. Already 40.000 tickets have been sold for the summer dates in Germany, the dates in Dresden, Mannheim and Kassel are already sold out three months in advance. German fans can look forward to more concerts from Limp Bizkit, with the band announcing six additional concerts for August 2018 due to sensational demand. Limp Bizkit will play on 14.08.18 in Frankfurt at the Jahrhunderthalle! Limp Bizkit are one of the most innovative bands of their genre and, with over 40 million records sold, one of the most successful to date. Since their formation in Jacksonville, Florida in 1994, Limp Bizkit have influenced a myriad of up-and-coming musicians over the past two decades. Their innovative, infectious mix of whipping rhythms, massive walls of guitars and funky hip-hop elements, nu metal, is a reinterpretation of crossover music from the early 90s. Back then, bandleader Fred Durst founded his first music project with bassist Sam Rivers and John Otto on drums, joined a few months later by guitarist Wes Borland. With the help of friends Korn they tour with the Deftones and House Of Pain. From the latter DJ Lethal from House Of Pain joins the band. The debut "Three Dollar Bill, Y'all", released in July 1997, becomes an overwhelming success with over two million sales. The follow-ups "Significant Other" (1999) and "Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water" (2000) together sell over 16 million copies, three Grammy nominations follow, the single hits like "Nookie", "Rollin'", "Take A Look Around" or the cover version of George Michael's "Faith" underline their stylistic breadth and love of experimentation. Their fourth album "Results May Vary" from 2003 is again an international chart success (No. 3 in the USA, No. 1 in Germany), but is produced without Wes Borland. On the follow-up "The Unquestionable Truth" (2005) Borland is back, followed by a "Greatest Hitz" and a creative break, which is ended with "Gold Cobra", the official comeback in 2011 (#1 in Germany).
