The songs of Lions Head, real name Ignacio Uriarte, resemble "Snapshots of Life", in which he packs the big themes of life into small anecdotes. You only meet your destiny on paths you take of your own accord. The New York native followed this motto and left his hometown.
Equally with his first single "Begging" Lions Head landed a considerable surprise success in the summer of 2015. Currently, he is storming the airplay charts with his latest single "When I Wake Up". The song now has over 3.5 million streams on Spotify and makes you want to listen to the American's debut album,
which will be released in September 2016. His songs are a road trip for and on the ears, the easy rider ride through the vastness of longing, freedom, adventure and summer, or as Iggy sings so beautifully "nothing matters till the morning after." Imagine: No car roof over your blowing hair and roaring through promising summer nights in a stolen Convertible. Each song in itself a picture, a new scene in this listenable road movie.
The sound comes off light on its feet with gently plucked guitar and a finger-snapping beat, yet Iggy's voice has the sweet melancholy melt of good dark chocolate. With "When I wake up" and "See you" Lions Head manages to let the longing level finally swing so that you're already mentally jumping into the waves singing along.
After sold out shows during his first club tour in June, Lions Head comes together with his debut album "LNZHD" on tour again in November!
