The demands on communicative skills are constantly increasing: it is a matter of striking the right tone for a "solution-oriented dialogue". You could also say it's about getting a message across without too much friction. Let's say: to make even unpleasant moments profitable - for both sides, of course. So, with all appreciation, that you finally do what I want, verf... Please. The composer Georges Aperghis is a master at poetically capturing social situations. In doing so, he often accepts psychological processes only as "false traces" - they create a clear impression which he, however, instantly contradicts, thus creating space for the absurdity of some encounters.
In doing so, vocal sounds and speech sounds as means of human communication form the heart and motor of his music, which has developed along a debauched and humorous sound poetry and speaks from his instrumental works as well as from his compositions for voice.
The Hörtheater series, now in its fifth year, continues to present music theater at the transitions between staged concert, performance, installation, and spectacle, exploring new sonic spaces.
