Exploded View is a collaborative project by UK-born and now Berlin-based artist Annika Henderson. In February she was a guest at Farbenfabrik with her solo project Anika. In May she returns for another performance with her Mexican band project. During their sessions together in Mexico City, the four-piece troupe found a style all their own, based on Anika's krautrock sound, which is still several steps away from the source material. The collaboration already resulted in 2016 of a self-titled LP, which consists only of directly recorded first takes without a net and double bottom. Gloomy? Why yes! Exciting? But hello! One year after the eponymous debut album, the Berlin-Mexico friendship reports back in November 2017 with a new EP. "Summer Came Early" is the name of the 4-track strong work. Musically, Annika Henderson, Martin Thulin, Hugo Quezada and Amon Melgarejo have remained true to themselves and deliver four strong Kraut pearls with "Summer Came Early".
