From a small Frankish settlement to a flourishing city under the Hohenstaufen rulers. From the historical museum via the Leinwandhaus and the Domhügel (cathedral hill), the route leads to the Steinernen Haus (stone house) and on to the Justitiabrunnen (fountain) on the Römerberg. On the traces of the past, Frankfurt's everyday and cultural history is revealed. The coexistence of citizens, bystanders and strangers, Christians and Jews in the Middle Ages and early modern times, food and drink, law and order, but also urban development and historical overlays in the cityscape become tangible.
