A particularly beautiful concert awaits you at the Kirche am Campus. Monica Spiga (flute) and Jan Feltgen (piano) will play romantic music for piano and "flute" from USA, Ukraine, Russia, Italy, France and many more Admission is free, but donations are welcome! The artists Monica Spiga passed the entrance exam at the Conservatory "G. P. da Palestrina" in Cagliari in 2004 and started studying the flute there. In addition to my studies she attended master classes with renowned flutists such as Riccardo Ghiani, Sara Careddu, Davide Formisano, Sarah Louvion, Mario Caroli, Johannes Hustedt, Moritz Plasse, Matthieu Gauci-Ancelin and Renate Greiss-Armin. She graduated from the conservatory in 2010 with a very good grade. Since then she has regularly performed concerts in every instrumentation from solo to chamber ensembles and orchestras. Jan Feltgen was born in Huánuco (Peru) in 1983. Growing up in Germany, he received lessons in piano at the age of seven. During high school he also took continuous lessons in flute, violin and viola. He successfully completed his training as a C-organist and church musician in 2005. After graduating from high school, he began studying instrumental and vocal pedagogy (IGP) with a major in piano at the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main under Prof. B. Wetz in the summer semester of 2005. During his studies he also trained in jazz piano with Prof. Chr. Spendel and in accompaniment with S. Seidel. He also received continuous instruction in flute with Chr. Frey and in organ with D. v. Knebel. In January/February 2010 he was able to complete this diploma course with great success.
