In a modern guise, the hit show "Lord of the Dance" presents itself on its new tour. After nearly two and a half decades of triumphant success around the globe, tap superstar Michael Flatley had recently given his production a slightly different look, while retaining the essential elements of story and popular dance formations. "Lord of the Dance" features a backdrop of giant LED screens and varied costumes as a sort of "best of" that allows fans to reunite with the enduring hit and its dancers.
Since 1996, "Lord of the Dance" has been thrilling people all over the world. More than 4 million visitors in German-speaking countries alone, about 80 million internationally, have attended the show.
"Lord of the Dance" demonstrated a new entertainment dimension. The "clack of the killer hoes" experienced a triumph without precedent. The synthesis of dance, folklore and show developed from an insider tip to a crowd puller.
The show, which is endowed with audiovisual opulence, combines folklore, hi-tech pop art as well as Irish-American tap dance with a flamenco affinity to create a rhythmic, melodic and visual revue.
