Is it the Icelandic weather or is it the special landscapes of the small island that produce so many great musicians - and I'm not even starting a list here - who live there? Whatever it is, it also seems to have an effect on newcomers.
Thus "Low Roar", a beautiful, warm, intimate singer/songwriter album, has the typical Icelandic flair and is especially recommended to friends of Sigur Rós, Helgi Jónsson or the calm and slow Radiohead songs. The highlight is the last song, the almost 8-minute-long "Tonight, Tonight Tonight" with electro-fuzzed beats, which Thom Yorke & Co. should actually give so often to listen to, until they once again deliver a convincing track themselves.
