The Frankfurt Marathon enters its 35th edition with a new title sponsor. Mainova AG will be the namesake sponsor for the first time at the anniversary race on October 30, 2016. The cooperation is contractually fixed until 2018.
This marks the beginning of a new chapter in the long-standing and proven partnership between Germany's oldest city marathon and Hesse's largest energy supplier. Mainova has so far been the main sponsor of the children's and youth competitions "Struwwelpeter-Lauf powered by Mainova" and "Mainova Mini-Marathon". In future, the regional energy service provider will concentrate on the main race over 42.195 kilometres, but will remain associated with the junior races.
The company is particularly keen to support the number one popular sport in its home country. That is why Mainova is committed to being a partner of running in the Rhine-Main region. And the Frankfurt Marathon stands like no other sporting event for its wide range of events for children to veteran runners, beginners to professionals - all aspects of running are represented.
