Around 25,000 runners will once again make the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon one of the major highlights in Frankfurt's sporting calendar this year. It is quite impressive when the participants set off from the exhibition center to complete the course alongside many motivating spectators. Those who manage to do so are rewarded with a very special finish across the red carpet into the Festhalle, where every single runner is greeted with thunderous applause.

The varied route; the flat profile; the dense atmosphere created by the 400,000 spectators who have lined the roadside in previous years; the fantastic atmosphere.000 spectators at the roadside, the great price-performance ratio for the starters and the perfect organization make the Frankfurt Marathon so popular with amateur runners as well as professionals.

This year, there will once again be numerous route festivals, the Marathonmall (October 25 - 27 in Hall 1 of Messe Frankfurt) or the Brezellauf powered by interair, which will take place on October 26 at 10 am.10. at 10 am.

On Sunday, October 27, the first wave of marathon runners will start at 10 am, the second wave will follow at 10:10 am. Please note that the time will be set back by 1 hour during the night from Saturday to Sunday. The first runners are expected to cross the finish line at the Festhalle shortly after 12 noon. The finish is at 5 pm.

Implications for local transport

The marathon route, which runs on both sides of the Main between Frankfurt city center and Höchst, touches the city's bus and streetcar network in many places, so that from around 6.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., numerous streetcar and bus lines will be affected by interruptions or detour.

Use subway trains

In Frankfurt's dense public transport network, subway trains offer a good alternative for getting to your destination. On the day of the event, the subway lines U1 to U4 and U6 to U8 will be reinforced so that more passengers have space available.

Please keep up to date!

RMV and traffiQ recommend that passengers find out about suitable connections in good time. The staff on the RMV service hotline will be happy to help - they can be reached around the clock on 069/24248024. The timetable information service on the Internet at rmv.de b also takes the changed timetables into account and quickly finds suitable connections.

For information on traffic closures and detour, the citizens' hotline can be reached on 069/7575-41700 and 069/7575-41701.
