Guillem Gisbert (guitar & vocals), Roger Padilla (guitar & vocals), Martí Maymó (bass, clarinet) and Arnau Vallvé (drums, percussions) are from Barcelona and call themselves Manel.
Manel was the first pop act in Spain to reach number one in the charts with an album sung in Catalan. At the time with the album "10 Milles Per Veure Una Bona Armadura" (2011), the second album of her music career. Her debut album "Els Millors Professors Europeus" was released in 2008 and achieved platinum
status with 40,000 albums sold. A Catalan folk album that manages to bridge the gap to international indie folk.
The hundreds of sold-out concerts in Europe and Latin America prove that Manel, incidentally the favorite band of Pep Guardiola (ex. FC Barcelona & FC Bayern Munich coach), have earned a huge following with their impressive live performances.
Their latest effort "Jo Competeixo" (2016) was recorded with the help of producer Jake Aron (Grizzly Bear, Tune-Yards, Chairlift). A pop album with an electronic twist, Manel are taking the opportunity to come back to Germany for five dates.
