Fabrice Mazliah creates ten concentrated duets in his long-term project "Manufactured Series", each with a human and a non-human partner. In doing so, he focuses primarily on those non-human bodies that are handmade and thus closely connected to the human body from the very beginning. In the second duet, Tilman O'Donnell, longtime dancer-colleague of Fabrice Mazliah in The Forsythe Company, encounters an Eschenbach porcelain cup, made in Germany in the mid-20th century. The cup, as a container, mirrors the human body. However, it must be transported very carefully - the fragility of its material once represented sophistication and refinement. In a continuous process of being poured and poured, the forms between human and non-human bodies melt into a fragile dance.
