"Halloween" is the motto of the market breakfast hosted by Wiesbaden Marketing GmbH on Saturday, October 27, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Wiesbaden's weekly market.
Whether for consumption, as ornaments and decorative items or as a popular vegetable for carving - pumpkins in all their diversity will be on offer at the market breakfast at the weekly market, which is being moved to Schlossplatz because of the European Youth Festival taking place on Dern's grounds. Of course, also as a treat: at the vegetarian snack stand Lalaland, for example, there will be delicious pumpkin soup and galette with pickled pumpkin, and children are also invited to carve pumpkin faces here.
"The last market breakfast of the season is always a particularly colourful one," says Wiesbaden's Mayor and Head of the Department of Economic Affairs Dr. Oliver Franz about the diverse offers of the suppliers, who present, among other things, Hokkaido and Halloween pumpkins as well as other varieties and ornamental pumpkins (such as at the stand of Helmut Linke, family Mohr, nursery Benno Schäfer and the vineyard).
At the Halloween market breakfast, which is framed by puppeteer Bernd Schmitt with his hand puppet show, special treats such as pickled pumpkin, which "Rabisch & Eyrisch" have on hand, will also tempt visitors. And the cheese temple is tempting with homemade fresh cheese with pumpkin and ginger.
The Bott wine estate, which is in charge of the wine stall at the Wiesbaden weekly market, is providing the matching noble drops. The Kostheim winery has Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris as well as Dornfelder and Frühburgunder and Spätburgunder on offer, among others.
For the last market breakfast of this year's season, Wiesbaden Marketing GmbH is again offering a guided tour of the Wiesbaden weekly market. The tour starts on October 27 at 11 a.m. at the Wiesbaden Tourist Information, Marktplatz 1. Tickets for the "Tour of the Weekly Market" with a limited number of participants are also available here.
