An outstanding singer-songwriter pairing: Markus Rill & Maik Garthe write moving songs with intelligent lyrics. With strong voices and two guitars they move variably between rock'n'roll, country, folk and blues and also sprinkle in a cover or two.
Rill studied his songwriting craft in Texas and Nashville and has received numerous national and international awards (German Country Music Award - Singer and Album of the Year, International Songwriting Competition, Narrative Song). Just released his new double album "Getting Into Trouble (20 Years Of Gunslinging)".
Rill tours Germany and Europe, often accompanied by his friend Maik Garthe. Garthe's songs are inspired by the turmoil of modern life, and his songs deal with loneliness and relationship tangles, intoxication and abstinence, as well as great demands and small carelessness. The excellent guitarist also accompanies himself with harp and stompbox.
