Germany's turbo growth doesn't stop at the funny annual retrospectives. Satirical retrospectives are now more than the year has headlines. As soon as December comes around, anyone who finds Advent too bland can get such a massively humorous treatment of the past eleven months that by New Year's Eve they'll be convinced they've lived in the drollest year since Otto the Great. So why go to Nachgetrettert! of all places? The answer couldn't be simpler: Because Mathias Tretter combines years of experience in the throwback business with sky-scraping wit and a unique haircut. After all, you want to have something to look at. The brain and bottomlessness of the past annum has been muddled enough; so it's nice to see someone in control of his quiff. At least that's what Tretter himself says when you ask him what makes him different from others: "The hair and the jokes." What will they be about? Well, Greece has to go in, of course. Then there's the Grexit. We can't do it without Alexis Tsipras either. And his finance driver and motorcycle minister Varoufakis. Not to mention sport: Brussels against Athens in the legendary European Cup final. And, as always, sex: hot ec card slots on Chalkidiki. Drugs: ECB, IMF, ESM, LmaA. And Rock 'n Roll: financial motorcycle and minister driver Varoufakis. In the end, almost everything is the same as in 2014 and 2013, except that Winnetou is dead. Friends of political cabaret should not miss this opportunity to get a satirical treatment of the highlights of the year. Everything worth knowing lightly packaged, wickedly feixend, precisely researched, sharp-tongued, funny, highly intelligent: Mathias Tretter.
