Musically, Me And My Drummer are more experimental and daring, the compositions are more ambiguous and open. With "Blue Splinter View" or "Pentonville Road", classically laid-out songs are juxtaposed with fragmentary beauties like "Easy On Me" or an almost jam-like piece like "Prague I & II". The band also allows itself a sonic opening, letting Brandi play an urgent, sometimes folky, sometimes grungy electric guitar on some of the new tracks.
"Love Is A Fridge" demonstrates the primal power and intimacy Me And My Drummers' musical uncompromisingness gives birth to. An engaging directness that they celebrate and continue to define in their music. It is a great pleasure to be able to participate directly in the exchange of two fantastic musicians.
