For the 31st time the Ronneburg returns to the "Middle Ages" with big camps, a large troop and many actors and craftsmen on the last weekend in September and the first weekend in October. Together with medieval music groups, knights, jugglers and magicians, the Medicus the puppeteer and the rope dance theatre as well as many other actors, visitors will be transported back to the Middle Ages in front of the magnificent original backdrop of the castle.
In addition, there will be the whole troop of medieval travelling people, who will be selling the most varied goods from all over the world at numerous stalls on the large historical market.
The visitors can watch old crafts and arts, like silver-, gold-, knife- and weapon smiths, tailors, shoe- and button makers, bag makers, saddlers, spinners, bow makers, herbalists, horn carvers, amber cutters and many more.You can also take a look at the life and equipment of knights in the Middle Ages in the large knight's camps on the meadow in front of the castle. A "medieval bathhouse" invites you to linger. In addition, the "Bow Tournament of the Glorious 7" will take place for the 21st time on the meadow in front of the castle and children can take part in a "Children's Knight Tournament" on the tournament square. A great spectaculum for all who enjoy history. Dinnerle and garlic bakers, the historical Staufer kitchen and the Scottish Bakery will cater for the palate. There will also be delicious bratwursts from the Büdingen Forest and specialities from the Vogelsberg.
