This year Meg Stuart receives the Golden Lion of the Venice Biennale for her life's work. The choreographer (at the Mousonturm and at the Tanzplattform most recently with "Hunter" and "Until Our Hearts Stop") embarks on a journey into the human psyche in her latest dance piece, which is as rich in associations as it is emotional, for which the Indonesian artist Jompet Kuswidananto created a fragile (light) installation. To driving live sounds and more in gestures than in narrative actions, the three performers seem to be abruptly at the mercy of fictional traumas, bodies seem to meet only to break away again, West and East, dark and light, unconscious and conscious seem to want to connect in a universe of humanity. This piece is a real trip. In a word: hypnotizing!
