Element of Crime, they are romance-striped, oddball men who have been singing about love since the 80s and about failed asparagus queens, old and new junk, the blue tit Yvonne, strawberry ice cream, cats and pit bull terriers. With their uniquely raw sound, they illuminate the whole world as if in passing. Leading the way: founder, chief composer and author Sven Regner ("Herr Lehman", "Neue Vahr Süd", that's the one), who transforms all the gruelling human emotions into wonderfully unagitated lyrics. Critical, self-deprecating, tongue-in-cheek.
But who really needs convincing of their awesomeness? The "boys" are without question one of Germany's most outstanding bands: legendary music they have released and album after album they have written German rock history. On their Kraut-und-Rüben tour they plan to present new songs, if they can finish any until then. If not, though,'s no big deal. Element of Crime is cult!
