And you listen to him and nod along a bit and think at the end: Yes, exactly. And so the Cologne native always manages quite well to pick up his listeners with his music.
Like so many, he sings of life, love and death, of disappointment, deception and heartbreak, of the fleetingness of the moment. Maxims music, that's pop, those are the topics that move us all and those are melodies that stay in the ear. What differentiates his songs from the masses: the finely honed formulations and the extravagant linguistic images that Maxim draws. And of course the sound of the lyrics - strings and piano, combined with electro sounds and scratches. And last but not least this voice. Beautiful!
