Riffs, songs, stories on the borders of genre
Michael Fehr amazes the literary as well as the musical world with his strong and eloquent line stories. He is a developmentalist. His interest in the sound of language makes it hard to tell whether you are listening to a poem, a novel or a fairy tale. The writing more poem, the scope epic, the moments glass-splintered. Fehr is radical and poetic. In collaboration with guitarist and composer Manuel Troller, songs have emerged from some of his stories. Sounding like blues at times, they are sometimes sung, sometimes just recited; occasionally loudly thundering, then again fragile. Fehr and Troller meet on the podium with force. After the crime story "Simeliberg", Michael Fehr's texts for the volume "Glanz und Schatten", published by Der gesunde Menschenverstand, come in a swarm of 18 highly condensed stories. At their centre are people, animals, places and objects that change.
