His 10-year stage anniversary Michael Fitz celebrates of course with a new album and tour to go with it - from "Now' to yesterday", how time flies.
For a good 10 years, the actor Michael Fitz is now with unbroken enthusiasm and just as curiosity as a musician on the road and tells in song and word from the midst of life. And so his current solo programme "Jetz auf gestern" (Now and Yesterday) is about what he has experienced and what he feels - what is left over, what is now and then half-digested or what has never really been spoken out about pushes to the surface of consciousness and inevitably becomes a subject for someone who cannot be categorised anywhere in the so-called zeitgeist mainstream, which is so full of fun. Amazing how the likeable Bavarian, who deals in his songs with - you almost want to say - mental bulky waste, can take people up and down the country so alone with himself and a few guitars, his fine, tongue-in-cheek humor, his poetry and passion, without ingratiating himself with too eager index fingers and guidance.
