Since 1980, Zweibrück band founder and singer Michael Wack has combined blues with Palatine dialect in a unique way. The result is a very entertaining mixture of traditional blues themes like love, lust and vice as well as typical stories of the region e.g. the sung recipe of "Grumbeersupp" in a musical garb of Cajun or the true story about the devil's well in "De Deiwel soll se hole".

But also philosophical topics like. "Freiheit iss Meileweit" or "Wo fangt de Himmel aan", become program highlights in connection with sophisticated arrangements.

The current CD deals with interpersonal topics with a wink. Likewise, topical lyrics comment on current events.

The music spans a spectrum from traditional blues to rock, swing, country, and rap, with the intensity of rock and roll always at the forefront. Extensive instrumental passages are also an integral part of the program.

The band has been in existence since 1996 and proves their joy of playing and competence in handmade music and Saar Palatinate dialect at every performance.

The Angels: Michael Wack (Git./Harm./Voc) Andrea Tognoli (B/Voc) Thomas Girard (Sax) Benjamin Pfahler (Dr/Voc) Vinzenz Wolf (Git./Voc) Philip Freyer (Violin) Barbara Müller (Akk).
