Since 1980, band founder and singer Michael Wack has combined blues with Saar Palatinate dialect. The result is a very entertaining mixture of traditional blues themes such as love, lust and vice, as well as typical stories of the country e.g. the sung recipe of "Grumbeersupp" in a musical garb of Cajun and Country. But also permanently topical themes such as. "Ess Geld iss all" or "Die Zeit" become program highlights in connection with sophisticated arrangements. The music covers a spectrum from traditional blues to rock, jazz and contemporary rap, with the intensity of rock'n roll always in the foreground. The band has been in existence since 1996 and proves its joy of playing and competence in blues and dialect at every gig. Whether at festivals or at intimate concerts in clubs and pubs, Blues Himmel always find the direct line to the audience. People like to listen, not least because they also understand the lyrics.
