The purely acoustic instrumentation of accordion, saxophone, double bass and guitar, in combination with the vocals of Mme Brell, gives the compositions a maximum of variety and liveliness. Listen to melodies and stories of summer by the sea, of jugglers and thieves, of nights at the Loire and the longing for the south.
From the love for France and Frankfurt, the band Mme Brell & the Filous was born in 2018. In addition to pieces by the French singer Barbara and words set to music by the Frankfurt dialect poet Friedrich Stoltze, they play mostly their own songs and chansons - inspired by the places mentioned above.
