Her melancholic, light-footed, dreamy album "Wanderer" guaranteed the newcomer a place in German and indie charts. In 2016, the young Frankfurt-based singer had set off on "Expedition Happiness" with her boyfriend, travelling through North America for a year in a converted school bus. The album's warm, flowing compositions capture the magic of this journey, of being detached from everything, of the epic vastness and depth of nature. Some of her clever, life-affirming and spherical songs are underpinned with hard drums, arranged with timpani sounds and choirs, others of the folky melodies need only a grand piano, but always Mogli, sometimes tenderly, then again powerfully awakens boundless wanderlust.
